Erika is a graduate of the prestigious Comedy Writing and Performance Program at Salford University, and her formal training is evident in every perfectly constructed joke. Her talent as a writer is so exceptional that it has taken her to the very pinnacle of the television industry. She has written for some of the biggest comedy shows on both sides of the Atlantic, including    

Have I Got News For You (BBC1), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (SkyOne), and Charlie Brooker's Netflix special Death to 2020. In 2025, she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for her work on    

Cunk on Life, a testament to her elite-level skill.

A Champion from the Start

For anyone yet to experience the whirlwind of unapologetic wit that is Comedian Erika Ehler comedy, her list of achievements serves as the perfect introduction. Even before her professional writing career took off, she was already a champion. In 2019, she was crowned the winner of the highly respected Chortle Student Comedy Award. In the same year, she also won the Mike Craig Comedy Award and was named the Hot Water Roast Battle Champion, showcasing her versatility and killer instinct for a punchline. She has since performed at major festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe, Latitude Festival, and the Toronto Sketch Festival.
