Comedian - Jack Hester - Comedy: The Irish Storyteller with Good Craic and a Political Pedigree

Jack Hester is a high-energy Irish comedian who brings a torrent of "good craic" to the stage, drawing on the rich tradition of Irish storytelling to create his hilarious and absurd tales.  With a background steeped in politics and a love for the romantic idea of being a travelling joke-teller, Jack has a unique and compelling presence on the circuit. Jack’s path to comedy was almost a political one. Growing up, all he wanted was to be the Taoiseach (Prime Minister of Ireland), and politics was a constant topic of discussion at the family dinner table. His father was a local politician for nearly 20 years before being elected to the Dáil Éireann (the Irish Parliament).  However, Jack eventually concluded that there were enough jokers in politics already and decided to become a comedian instead.  He was deeply inspired by the legendary Irish comic Tommy Tiernan and the revered role of the "Seanchai" (storyteller) in traditional Gaelic culture, a role he now embodies on the stand-up stage.  This love for storytelling is at the heart of his comedic style, allowing him to connect with audiences on a deeper level.
