Khanyisa JamJam, known to his legion of fans as JamJam, is a South African stand-up comedian, writer, MC, and social media influencer who has become a household name in his home country and is now making waves internationally.  Since starting his career in 2019, his meteoric rise has been fuelled by his unique blend of humour, wit, and sharp observations on everyday life.  He is a proud cheerleader for all things South African, using his platform to connect with a diverse audience.    

Based in Cape Town, JamJam holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Politics and Economic History from UCT, a background that lends an intellectual depth to his thought-provoking comedy.  He is a proud South African and a passionate cheerleader for his country, using his platform to engage a diverse, cross-cultural audience with his hilarious takes on South African life.  His commentary on local and global sport has made him a particular favourite, even inspiring the first-ever isiXhosa, Afrikaans, and English broadcast for a major UFC showdown.  His creative process is deeply personal and autobiographical, allowing him to connect with audiences on a genuine level.

JamJam’s career is decorated with major awards and sold-out shows. He won the coveted Breakthrough Act of the Year at the 2025 Savannah Comics Choice Awards and was nominated for their Newcomer Award in 2023.  His 2024 solo show, "Sorry for the Weight," won a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival and went on to have sold-out runs not only in Cape Town but also right here in London at the Camden Fringe Festival.  This international success is a direct result of his incredible social media influence, where he has amassed over 75,000 followers on Instagram, proving that a strong digital presence can launch a comedian from a local favourite to a global force.
