Ray established himself as one of the rising stars of Australian comedy, performing multiple solo shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Sydney Comedy Festival, and appearing on the prestigious Sydney Comedy Festival Gala three times. He created, wrote, and starred in his own Comedy Central TV show,    

No Experience Necessary, and hosted the hit ABC Comedy podcast, Positions Vacant, which ranked in the top 5 comedy podcasts in Australia. Now based in London, he has become a regular fixture in the UK’s best comedy clubs.

He has worked with and supported comedy legends like Chris Rock, Marc Maron, and Amy Schumer, a testament to his undeniable talent. In 2017, his skill was formally recognised when he was awarded Best International Guest Comedian by the New Zealand Comedy Guild. His debut Edinburgh Fringe show in 2019,    

Everybody Loves Ray, Man, was met with rave reviews, with Broadway World giving it a five-star rating and calling it "uncomplicated comedy in its purest form... we're talking embarrassing, stomach-hurting, weeping kind of laughter".
