Sam See is an award-nominated stand-up comedian and a true trailblazer. Originally from Singapore and now based in London, he has taken his unique story and hilarious perspective to stages all over the world, selling out shows from Melbourne to Berlin and becoming a powerful voice for South East Asian comedy on the international circuit.   

A Journey of Comedy and Identity

Sam began performing stand-up in 2012 at an open mic in Singapore, at the same time as he began to perform publicly as an openly gay man. Much of his early work revolved around his sexuality, which was, until very recently, illegal in his home country. This experience of feeling like an outsider in his own home has shaped his comedy, giving it a depth and authenticity that resonates with audiences everywhere. Feeling that he didn't quite belong, he became a wandering comic, roaming the globe and eventually finding his tribe among the comedians of the Edinburgh Fringe before making the UK his permanent home.

On stage, Sam See is relentlessly upbeat and charming. A Trailblazer with a Five-Star Record

The global appeal of Comedian Sam See comedy is undeniable. He has headlined in over 25 different countries and provided tour support in Asia for global superstars like Jim Jefferies, Bert Kreischer, and Kevin Bridges. His shows at the Edinburgh Fringe have received widespread critical acclaim, including the first ever five-star review for a comedian from South East Asia. His recent show, Government Approved Sex, was named on Fest Mag's list of The Best of the Edinburgh Festivals.   

His talent has been showcased on Comedy Central's Stand-Up Asia! and he has even appeared on The Jim Jefferies Show in the US. In a career highlight that speaks to the power of his voice, he was invited to perform for the United Nations Human Rights Council in Bangkok to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 2023.
