Lancaster Comedy Club brings two-show comedy night to The Borough
Lancaster Comedy Club is set to return to The Borough on Saturday 24 October with two stand-up showcases, scheduled for 7pm and 9pm. The evening will feature circuit veterans Steve Gribbin and Alistair Barrie, with comedian Raul Kohli hosting both performances in the pub’s Georgian Drawing Room. Tickets cost £16.50 per show; the event is for adults aged 18 and over.
Key takeaways
Two separate performances are planned, at 7pm and 9pm.
The bill features Steve Gribbin and Alistair Barrie, hosted by Raul Kohli.
Shows take place in The Borough’s Georgian Drawing Room.
Tickets are £16.50 per show and attendance is 18+.
The format offers local audiences a choice of early or late show, with each performance presented as a standalone bill. The intimate, seated-room approach will be familiar to Comedy in Your Eye audiences, too: our Camden pub shows also put professional comedy in a relaxed local setting.
A trio of established comedy names
Raul Kohli will host the shows, bringing political comedy and surreal storytelling to the role. He has appeared on Channel 4 and Amazon Prime and has received five-star praise from The Guardian.
Musical comedian Steve Gribbin, a Glastonbury Festival veteran known for topical satire, joins the bill alongside Alistair Barrie. A London Comedy Store regular, Barrie has performed internationally in more than 40 countries and is known for his biting wit.
A double bill in a historic pub room
Comedy In A Van, the veteran promoters behind the booking, said the line-up would bring a high-calibre night to the city centre. The shows are planned for The Borough’s Georgian Drawing Room, giving the performances a close-up setting rather than the scale of a large theatre.
Both the 7pm and 9pm events are separately ticketed at £16.50 each, and the listing states that the shows are strictly for over-18s. The venue’s intimate, fully seated arrangement means audiences should check ticket availability before making plans.
